Help! I'm confused by the Upgrade Paths!

We’ve created a quick How-To video to explain how to navigate setting up your Upgrade Path. You can access it here:

https://youtu.be/Edx7qiFb0DI

But here’s a quick overview of what they are, and how they work:

All of the 200 and 400 count sets of Iron Clays normally ship with a standard, recommended distribution of chip denominations (the ones in the pictures on the main campaign page).

For those who already have some chips and don’t want to buy them again, we’re giving you the option of having 200 or 400 count sets shipped that contain ONLY the denominations you need to fill out the recommended set; you can supply the rest from your own sets or games of Brass to fill in the rest.

(Note that for some off these Upgrade Paths, this will result in you having some chips left over.)

My country isn't listed in the shipping zones, can I still make a pledge?

Unfortunately, no.

We deeply regret this. But the unfortunate reality is that over the last three campaigns Roxley has fulfilled (Brass, Dice Throne, and Santorini), we have run into too many logistical problems in some areas - tracking issues, extreme delays, customs snafus, and damaged shipments. Fully two thirds of our customers in Brazil had their pledges turned away at the border, for reasons that have never been 100% explained to us. And any time customers in these zones have needed support after the fact, due to missing, damaged, or defective games or parts, they’ve had to wait weeks to receive something from Canada or the USA.

Roxley aspires to give all of our backers excellent customer service, and it has been impossible to give that to backers in these zones, which we feel is insulting to people who are not only supporting us and making what we do possible, but are paying exorbitant shipping costs to do so.

We continue to seek solutions for these problems, and thank you for your patience and understanding.

(One possible exception is if you use a freight forwarder that has an address in a country we can deliver to.)

I'm concerned about the possibility of shipping damage.

We anticipated this concern, and we’ve been planning for it from the beginning. Dedicated shippers are being constructed specifically for the wooden boxes; they will be extremely well protected (this has a side benefit of speeding up processing a bit when the fulfillment centers receive their shipments).

In the unlikely event that yours arrives with damage of some kind, please document this with a picture of the issue and the packaging, and contact us with those. We want you to be happy with what you have ordered, and we will work with you to find the best solution for you.

Can we order Brass (or other Roxley games) as an add-on?

No - but the good news is that you don’t need to!

Our games, including Kickstarter Deluxe versions of Brass can already be ordered directly from roxley.com. Brass: Lancashire is in stock in most areas; Birmingham stock is on the way and is expected in September of this year. (Santorini is the exception; distribution of this is handled by Spin Master, but it is widely available in game, toy, and hobby stores worldwide.)

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
